In this page, “you” represents the client who has made the booking and all participants the client brings in the group. The “guide” represents a certified guide according to the law of Nepal. Booking in Globe Trot Himalaya Tours and Treks (hereinafter referred as 'the company') and participating in trekking is understood as acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions by all the participants and this agreement is legally binding. The company reserves the right to change, modify or otherwise alter these terms and condition at any time in accordance with the policy of company.
1. Physical prerequisites:
You must have average physical condition for any kind of trip. It is your duty to consider your all-physical condition before booking trip. In case of confusion, you can consult with company regarding your health condition. The company will not be liable for any kind of loss or compensation caused by booking with false health information.
2. Equipment:
You are required to bring the equipment listed by the company. The company reserve the right to exclude client who don't have the minimum required equipment.
The customer is responsible for all equipment issued for use during the tour. The guide reserves the right to demand payment or replacement for rented equipment that is lost or misused. The guide and company are not responsible for any kind of incidental expenses the client may have during the tour.
3. Liability :
The company has expert guides. The guides always try to lead the team as safe as possible. You agree to follow the command of the guide during the entire tour. Trekking and tours in Nepal, of whatever nature, generally entail significant risks which may result in injury or even death. You are aware of this fact and is willing to take such risks when concluding this agreement. Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by negligence of the guide, guide will not be liable for:
a) Illness, injuries, death, loss, theft or personal damage
b) Failure by you to take out adequate insurance
c) Fault on your part before and during the trip
d) Act of a higher authorities
e) Change in schedule due to unavoidable circumstances such as natural disaster.
All booking are made on the basis that you will strictly follow the safety instruction given by the guide. If you choose to ignore the advice of the guide, you do so at your own risk and forfeit a duty of care from the guide.
i) Exclusion of participation:
The guide is permitted not to allow you to join an activity if you do not meet the personal participation requirements or if your participation would endanger you, other clients or the guide. No refund will be made to participants excluded on these safety grounds.
If you disregard instruction or choose to leave the group, you do so at your own risk, and your forfeit the company duty of care.
ii) Program change:
While utmost care is taken to ensure arrangements are confirmed as much as possible, due to circumstances at times, there might be possibilities that transportation, accommodation or itineraries may change, even after the tour is confirmed or has commenced.
The guide reserves the right to change the itinerary or stop the tour in case the guide believe that continuing would place any group member and /or himself/herself at undue risk due to unfavorable weather conditions and/or participants ability. For stopped or changed tours, the whole amount for the primary planned tour will be charged.
a) Your responsibility to reach in time:
You are responsible for arriving on time at the notified meeting point. If you do not show up at the meeting point, the company will assume you have been delayed and will wait for you to contact us with your new expected arrival date. If you do not contact us within 48 hours, we will assume that you have cancelled the tour and no refund will be made.
b) Company is not responsible for personal loss due to unavoidable circumstances:
The company is not responsible for loss of employment, delays or compensation resulting from situations beyond the control of company such as weather, natural disaster, and emergency declaration of government, domestic flight delay or similar unavoidable circumstances.
4. Booking:
Booking can be made by choosing the destination after enquiry. The booking is non transferable. Either full payment or at least 40% down payment (non refundable) is required to confirm the booking. Online payment or bank transfer is available or any payable mode is accepted. Remaining 60% can be paid upon arrival on arrival day. Cash payment or bank transfer or any payable options are available. Passport copies of all travelers are required.
The advance down payment of 40% on booking helps us to make confirm reservation of hotels, domestic flights and other trip arrangements for final trip booking. Along with the deposit, we need detailed name list of all participants (as in passports), gender, nationality, date of birth, passport number, passport issue and expiry dates and profession.
However, we may request you to make full payment or additional payment before your arrival if this is necessary (especially for trips in Tibet and Bhutan). Be mindful that the company reserves the right to cancel your trip provided full payment is not paid in requested time or on arrival day.
We also accepts last minute booking (1 week prior to trekking start date). But last minute booking requires 100% full payment and is non refundable.

In regards to cancellation, it is understood that you have read and understood all the booking information and condition and agree to abide by them.
1.The company's tour prices are based on twin sharing accommodation. Single room supplement charge will apply. Please check price prior to making bookings.
2.The company reserves the right to revise pricing rates post in our marketing material, under any circumstances, or on the pressure of various external factors that are beyond our control, for instance changes in exchange rate, government action etc.
5. Cancellation :
Guide reserves the right to cancel any trip because of the causes that makes it infeasible for scheduling of the trip such as weather condition, natural disaster, illness, injury etc. In such case you will be offered an alternative or full refund according to the policy of company. But company is not responsible for any other fees that the client has incurred like flights, hotels or any other expenses relating to trip.
Clint can cancel their trip by writing official email or SMS or handwritten application. Booking down payment 40% is non refundable but client have option to postpone trip or can use that booking payment for another trip within 1 years of booking payment made.
During the tour: once tour begins, no refund will be made. If a tour has been started and cannot be completed because of the bad weather condition, weak physical condition of the group, natural disaster etc., the company must be paid. Payments are not refundable based on itinerary changes.
6. Insurance:
The Company recommends you to obtain travel insurance to cover any sickness, injury, or loss that may occur while you are travelling with the company. The travel insurance you are buying should provide adequate protection for the full duration of the tour and should cover personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, helicopter rescue, ambulance, flight delays, baggage loss/delays, loss of personal items, miss-connecting flights, etc. Purchase of travel insurance and travel insurance claims are the sole responsibility of the client.
The Company is not responsible for rescue insurance. The company accepts no responsibility for the costs incurred due to rescue activities. Client itself is liable for insurance coverage.
The company may seek to sue photos of the participants for the website/publicity purposes without obtaining any further consent or payment in respect of such photographs and /or films. But if the client prefers not to get involved in this, they can inform guide and the company prior the tour.
Court of competency: The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Nepal.
